At Pirtek, we work across a broad range of hard hat industries and we’re passionate about positive mental health. We care for the mental wellbeing for our customers, technicians, employees and colleagues. We know that mental health in the hard hat industries needs to be spoken about and the stigma associated with it must be removed. We want to provide help and support.

We are tackling the issue of mental health in the broad range of hard hat industries we serve. We want to encourage people who work within our industries to talk about their mental health.

We are proud to work in partnership with suicide prevention charity Andy’s Man Club for Under the Hard Hat. Together, we will work to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health and create a safe space for people to be open about their mental health challenges. To understand more about the scale of mental health challenges faced by workers across the hard hat industries, we undertook comprehensive research. We surveyed 343 participants and concerningly, we found that nearly all have experienced feelings of stress, anxiety, depression and loneliness. Read more

Andy, the Centre Manager at Pirtek Leeds, went above and beyond to support a farmer whose beloved tractor had fallen into despair. Andy spent time discussing the issue with the farmer and exchanging photos over the phone. Thanks to his technical knowledge and kind nature, he sent out the relevant parts free of charge to the customers location. The farmer was so grateful; he expressed his gratitude by writing a handwritten note. Above and beyond.
