Current Vacancies - Sales Development Manager

Job Purpose Summary

The primary role of  an Sales Development Manager (SDM) is to develop sales within their zones; this includes retail and wholesale sales. This is achieved by working with all resources within that zones including all franchisees, sales resources and by influencing a positive sales culture within each franchise. Each SDM is responsible for the coordination of any Pirtek UK employed sales resources and all national accounts.

Main Responsiblities/ Accountabilities

  • Operate a scheduled call cycle on centres and customers prioritizing where necessary
  • Develop retail sales with all Pirtek Centres within the zone.
  • Implement and report on the Pirtek Sales Plan for each centre.
  • Forecast annual budgets for each Pirtek Centre including retail sales targets, wholesale sales budget and annual buy percentage.
  • Manage all National Account head office customer located within the zone.
  • Identify and obtain new business including National Accounts, local customers and large product supply opportunities.
  • Be responsible for all national account activity including local depots of other National Accounts with the zone.
  • Comply with all reporting requirements on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
  • Attend all scheduled sales meetings and participate where necessary. 
  • Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of any sales resources where required.
  • Submit monthly Sales Resouce reports
  • Coordinate and oversee in Area Sales Focus activities
  • Represent the company at any trade shows or exhibitions where necessary.
  • Coordinate regional and local marketing promotions in line with the Pirtek UK marketing startegy and with the marketing department
  • Raise the profile and awareness of the Pirtek Brand.
  • Complete and return monthly reports on your zones, sales performance van numbers together with updated reports on the local sales resource activities including Pirtek UK employed Shared Sales Resources
  • Maintain all customer visit reports into any CRM system and report the months activities to your franchisees via a bulletin
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings with Sales Team as when scheduled
  • Attend training courses to develop relevant knowledge and skills
  • Assist the Area Sales Manager as and when necessary in the development of the Franchised Network.
  • Assist as and when necessary with the induction and training of any new SDM's and SSR's.
  • Actively share ideas and information for the benefit of the Franchises Network and Pirtek UK.
  • Encourage any Pirtek Network sales resource to be part of the Pirtek Sales Team.
  • Promote the implementation of sales resources at Centre level.
  • To remain 100% focused on the above and not undertake any other duties without the prior consent of the Area Sales Manager
  • Provide support on large customer's quotations to achieve maximum sales for Pirtek the Pirtek Centre and Pirtek UK.
  • Maintain franchise relations
  • Act as the conduit between Pirtek UK and the Pirtek Network.
  • Coordinate and partake in MSST sales training when required.
  • Work with other departments within the business to achieve collaborative results.
