Current Vacancies - Shared Sales Resource

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • An experienced Sales Executive or Manager.
  • A proven track record in sales and show significant sales growth in previous a sales roles.
  • Have a proven record of working to and exceeding sales targets.
  • Have the ability and experience to open doors and recognise new opportunities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to overcome customer objections and reintroduce lapsed accounts.
  • Have experience of selling at all levels, from Fitter to Director.
  • Have strong time management skills with the ability to forward plan and make appointments.
  • Be self motivated, with a strong work ethic and enthusiastic.
  • Have experience of selling products and services into the same market sectors that Pirtek deal with.
  • Have technical sales experience ideally within the hydraulic and pneumatic industry.

To summarise, the individual will be an experienced and proven sales person with a technical background, ideally from the hydraulic or pneumatic industry. Areas of Management Responsibility Whilst the Shared Sales Resource is employed by Pirtek UK, they will be fully focused on sales development at the participating centres.

Training & Induction

This induction process should take approximately 1 month to complete and will include:

  • 2 days familiarisation at Pirtek UK including an introduction to the role, reporting procedures and a visit to all departments within Pirtek UK.
  • 2 weeks training at the Pirtek National Training Centre.
  • 3 days shadowing an experienced SSR.
  • 2 days at an operational Pirtek Centre including time with the Franchisee, Centre Manger, Accounts department and an experienced MSST.
  • 1 day at each centre they will be working with to familiarise themselves with the business and personnel. This day should include time with the Franchisee and the UK Manager finalising the working structure and target accounts for each Franchise.

Planning and Structure

All professional sales people will be highly structured in their approach to sales. This structure should be monitored by the appointed Pirtek Manager. Outlook calendar should be utilised and the SSR should record all appointments and forward planning on Outlook and allow the Manger access to view this calendar.

Reporting

The SSR will produce a call sheet style report for each Centre on completion of a centre time block. In addition, the SSR will produce a monthly report and forward to their appointed Pirtek UK Manager by the 7th of the following month. This report will highlight the Centre sales performance and their key sales developments made during the past month. The template for this monthly report is shown at Appendix 5. The SSR Manager is to collate all the SSR reports and circulate throughout the sales team, including the Sales Director, Senior SDM, National Training Manger and National Accounts Manager.

Centre Sales Performance

The appointed Manager should forward the Sales performance of each Centre to the SSR on a monthly basis. These sales figures should indicate year on year growth and performance against target.

Sales Meetings

The appointed Pirtek UK Manager is to organise a one day meeting with all the SSRs on a regular basis. The agenda and structure of the meeting is to be set by the Manager. The main aim of the meeting is to allow the sharing of sales information throughout the team and to encourage and develop a team mentality and strategy.
