Oulton Park challenge for Jordan and Pirtek

Pirtek Racing’s Andrew Jordan is relishing the chance to resume his 2015 campaign during rounds 10, 11 and 12 of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at the Oulton Park circuit in Cheshire (6/7 June).

After a month-long spring break, the BTCC circus heads to one of the most popular dates on the calendar and traditionally the biggest crowd of the season at the spectacular parkland track. Andrew goes into the weekend confident of having good pace in the works MG6 GT run by Triple Eight Racing. He starts the weekend in fifth place in the overall points’ table, just 15 points down on early championship leader Gordon Shedden.

With two second places to date, Andrew has scored well in eight of the nine races so far, and says that consistency is all-important this year. However, he also wants to win races and believes that the Pirtek Racing MG will be a strong package at Oulton Park.

“The start of the year has been a tough one as we haven’t had the pace we wanted,” said Andrew. “But we’ve done a good job of being consistent and scoring points so we are still very much in the title hunt. Oulton Park has been a good track for MG in the past and it’s one of my favourite tracks. At the moment the Honda is the package to beat, but I’m just concentrating on finding more performance from our car and if we do that then we will be able to close the gap.”

Pirtek is Europe’s number one provider of hydraulic solutions and mobile hose replacement, with over 170 centres supported by over 700 mobile service workshops throughout Europe. Offering solutions to a number of business sectors, including the automotive industry.

After qualifying on Saturday 6 June at 15.20, the first of three BTCC races will be at 12.15 on Sunday, with race two at 15.30 and race three at 17.40. All three races will be broadcast on ITV4. Qualifying will be broadcast live at www.itv.com and live results from the weekend will be available at www.tsl-timing.com
