Just 13 points separate Pirtek Racing’s Andrew Jordan from the top of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship heading for rounds 13, 14 and 15 at the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire this weekend (27/28 June).

As the BTCC heads towards its mid-season break, Andrew is determined to carry his front-running form of Oulton Park forward into the Croft weekend and is confident that his MG6 GT run by Triple Eight Racing will be a strong package at the technically challenging track. After Croft, the season breaks until the Snetterton weekend on 8/9 August.

Oulton Park last time out was an excellent weekend for Andrew and Pirtek Racing, when three top four finishes capped by second place in the final race of the weekend put him firmly into the title race.

Heading into the Croft races, Jason Plato heads the points on 157 from Gordon Shedden on 154, Matt Neal on 149 and Andrew on 144. Colin Turkington is fifth on 124 to make it five former BTCC champions in the top five positions.

“The top four in the championship are now separated by 13 points,” he said as he looked ahead to Croft and a track where he has enjoyed plenty of success. “So it’s a good job we’ve been consistent on our tough weekends. To keep getting these points’ hauls is really good and we’re firmly in the championship hunt. Oulton Park was a good boost for me and I want to use that momentum to take us forward to Croft. I’ve got a lot of good memories of Croft. I scored my first BTCC win there and it’s a proper old-school track.”

Pirtek is Europe’s number one provider of hydraulic solutions and mobile hose replacement, with over 170 centres supported by over 700 mobile service workshops throughout Europe. Offering solutions to a number of business sectors, including the automotive industry.

After qualifying on Saturday 27 June at 15.45, the first of three BTCC races will be at 12.00 on Sunday, with race two at 14.40 and race three at 17.05. All three races will be broadcast on ITV4. Qualifying will be broadcast live at www.itv.com and live results from the weekend will be available at www.tsl-timing.com
