Pirtek scoops Facilities Management Service Provider award

News release date: Tuesday 27 February 2007

Pirtek – the UK's leading provider of fluid transfer solutions – has been crowned ‘Hydraulics Company of the Year' in the annual awards presented by Building & Facilities News magazine.

The publication is distributed to a circulation of 15,000 leading players in the Facilities management sector – an area which Pirtek targets with its on-site emergency hydraulic hose replacement service for equipment such as forklifts and mechanical lifting equipment.

The award is a result of Pirtek's business successes combined with its customer service levels and commitment to health and safety and the environment.

Pirtek Sales Director Russell Mundell said: "We are delighted to receive the Company of the Year Award which acknowledges our ongoing commitment to customers within the sector.

"Pirtek is well renowned for its rapid response to emergency hydraulic hose repair call-outs – delivering ‘First Aid' to our customers with a service pledge of ‘Anytime. Anywhere. ETA one hour.'

"With the extension of this to our 1-2-3 strategy, from the point a Pirtek Centre receives a phone-call, it will typically have a mobile service unit on site within one hour, the problem fixed within two and an invoice can be issued within three. This unrivalled efficiency results in productivity, administration, time and cost savings for all parties."

Furthermore for the warehousing and facilities management sector, Pirtek continues to promote ‘best practice' in all aspects of its business, not only with the quality manufacture of its products but also where it matters most – on the customers' sites and premises.

Firstly, with 400 vehicles and 90 Centres, they get there fastest. At a time when customers in many sectors strive hard to improve on-site safety, Pirtek also carry out on-site risk assessments before every job. All 400 mobile sales & service technicians have their own personal protective equipment including safety boots, hard hats and high visibility vests or jackets. If customers' sites have specific safety requirements Pirtek will arrange for its technicians to attend a relevant induction course.

Staff are trained to the highest levels of competence and Pirtek's stringent environmental and health and safety policy ensures every job is safely handled and spilled materials thoroughly cleaned and properly disposed of.
